Power Outage Interrupts East Texas Mail Delivery

A  power outage in the Winona/Gladewater area interrupted the delivery of mail to all of East Texas on Wednesday.
The U.S. Postal Service's East Texas Processing and Distribution Center is located just outside of Winona. The facility was only able to regain power at about 9 o'clock Wednesday morning.
As a result, large amounts of first class mail and parcels were not processed or sent out.
The Tyler Postmaster said all mail will be delivered on Thursday and routes will run as usual.
