LONGVIEW, TEXAS (KLTV) - One East Texas bodybuilder is living proof that age is just a number.

Welcome to the gun show.

"I've been competing for all my life. Since I quit playing ball I got into bodybuilding," said Robert Irby, "I just love competing and I'm just not going to quit."

Irby, owner of Flex Gym in Longview, is headed to to the NPC Masters national championships in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Ten years ago, he won his age division at the event when he was 50.

This time around, it will be his first competition at age 60.

"Sixty is just a number," said Irby, "I'm going up there to win. That's the attitude you have to have. You never know who's going to show up. They're coming from all over the United States so I think my chances are real good."

The NPC National Championships run on July 20th and 21st.
