Pace Students Graduate

Some at-risk teens began a new journey in life. Students in Tyler's Pace Program graduated tonight. They were once at-risk of dropping out. Superintendent Dr. David Simmons joined in congratulating about 100 former Robert E. Lee and John Tyler students who made it through successfully. Graduate Megan Carter said, "We either messed up at our first chance, or some other circumstance happened that we couldn't control and this was our last chance, so to be able to fulfill our destiny and become the class of 2004 feels wonderful."

Pace representatives say 80 percent of those graduating, continue on to college.
