Lon Morris College: rising from the ashes?

Good Wednesday afternoon, everyone!

Here's some of what we're working on for you in the KLTV newsroom this afternoon:

Lon Morris College, recently thought to be a school gone under, announced today that they are planning to enroll students, beginning tomorrow, for the fall 2012 semester. Classes will be held on-campus as well as online, though there will be fewer offered than there once were, we are told. We'll have more on that for you at 6.

This morning, children and their caretakers at the YMCA in Whitehouse were given quite a shock when a car slammed through the door of the gym today. More on that tonight at 6, as KLTV's Jamey Boyum reports from the scene to tell you exactly what happened.

And workers in Longview are trying to get an East Texas park back into shape after storm damage caused it to close. Teague Park in Longview suffered a lot of damage, such as fallen trees, and it is taking some time to get it restored. More at 5.

We'll also show you a funny "wedding survival guide" video that you won't want to miss, posted by the jokesters at the CDC.

We'll also have the weather update that you're waiting for; more rain? more heat? Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will fill you in with the best local forecast in ETX.

And on the web, you likely remember the frightening story of the woman in Tyler's Moore Grocery Lofts in Tyler who was attacked, and stabbed multiple times, on June 29. You can see all our coverage right here, and look at the police sketch, below. This is a representation of what the attacker looks like; if you recognize him, call Tyler police at (903)531-1000.

We'll see you soon; remember we'll be livestreaming at 5, 6 and 10 tonight on KLTV.com!
