Friday morning, about 50 people rallied in support of an East Texas police station that's under a federal microscope.
The FBI is investigating Winnsboro Police Officers accused of planting drugs to make arrests.
In a previous interview on June 14, alleged victim Dustin Swann said two Winnsboro Police officers planted drugs on him and his boss during a traffic stop in 2008. Since then, the charges have been cleared, but Swann says he's still waiting for justice.
"I'm quite nervous to go to Winnsboro actually," said Swann. "I don't have any trust in the police department down there at all so I try to avoid going to Winnsboro as much as I can."
Those who rallied Friday morning in support of the department and the accused officers say they're not giving up on their local law enforcement.
The rally began with organizer Gary Pedrazo praying for the department. He says he planned this rally because he believes in the accused officers.
"I really know in my heart that these officers are innocent of these allegations and I just wanted to pull something together to show support," said Pedrazo.
"I do very much appreciate this," said Winnsboro Police Chief Jim Miller.
Miller wouldn't talk about the allegations that his officers planted drugs on innocent people.
He says this has been the most difficult thing he's dealt with in his career. Miller says Friday's rally gave him hope.
"This is what we work for. We work for the citizens of Winnsboro and I'm so glad that these people came out today to support is in our need of time and believe me this is in a need of time," said Miller.
Resident Lee Ann Sparks stood beside Miller as more prayers were read aloud.
"We've got some of the best officers there are," said Sparks. "This is a bad situation. I can't imagine why anybody would make such awful accusations."
Others just want to know the truth, so the department can move on.
"I don't think they did, but like I said I wasn't there so I can't for sure say they didn't, but Know they're being investigated and I know the investigation and God's going to bring the truth out," said Deborah Bradford, supporter at rally.
Pedrazo says Friday's rally served one purpose with one message.
"I believe you are men and women of integrity and we are with you," he said.
Wood County District Attorney Jim Wheeler says for the time being, he will not prosecute cases investigated by the Winnsboro Police Department. He says he's waiting until the federal investigation is complete.
