LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - It was business as usual Tuesday at the Methadone Clinic of East Texas, following the indictment of two of its key employees.

A federal grand jury this week indicted Daniel Kubisty and Eddie Jacobs for planning to burn down the Add-Life Recovery Center in Tyler.

The indictment says that in March of 2012, the two were planning on setting fire to the building on East Fifth Street in Tyler in order to gain a competitive advantage for their business.

"There won't be any effect at all," said Robert Jacobs, Facility Director of the Methadone Clinic of East Texas.

The clinic is open from 5:30 am to 10am Mon through Friday and 7am to 9am on Saturday.

"Absolutely not. It's not going to affect our patients," said Nurse Christy Blake.

Jacobs is also indicted with witness tampering and murder for hire. U.S. Attorneys say earlier this month, Jacobs hired someone to kill Daniel Kubisty and prevent him from testifying against him.

The indictment says Jacobs supplied the hired hitman with a weapon and ammunition.

"Innocent until proven guilty," Blake said. "He's been framed."

Methadone Clinic of East Texas also has offices in Tyler and Waskom, near Shreveport.
