LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -
A Longview woman is behind bars after plotting to kidnap and kill a random pregnant woman to steal a baby.
Just after 2:30 pm Thursday, Longview police received information about a suspect who threatened to find and kill a pregnant woman and take her baby to raise as her own.
30-year-old, Tanya Lynette Bradley of Longview bought duct tape, latex gloves, and knives which she planned to use to commit the crime. Witnesses said she had been telling family members for months that she was pregnant and was going to tell family them she had the baby on Thursday.
Bradley was arrested on two charges of criminal attempt to commit capital murder and booked into the Gregg County Jail.
