Number of Texans Supporting Fight in Iraq, Up

More Texans say they support going to war with Iraq. That's according to a new poll by Scripps Howard.

In the poll taken May 3 through May 15th, 62% of Texans said they agree with reasons behind going to war. That number is up from 59% 3 months ago.

While the number is higher than the earlier part of this year, it is significantly down from the same time last year. The Texas poll was conducted by the Scripps Research Center in Abilene. It included a thousand adult Texans.
