Striking SBC workers walked the picket line for a third day Sunday.
The more than 100,000 workers in 13 states are hoping to gain better health care coverage and increased job security. In Tyler, members of the "Communication Workers of America" protested outside the 2 SBC buildings.
Negotiations between the two sides continued with both sides touting progress. Workers like Steve Maynard said to get what they want they are ready to go the distance.
"We have known in advance, almost a year, that bargaining is coming up and this could be a tough contract and so I have physically saved the money and I know that some other people have so we're prepared to do whatever it takes as long as it takes."
SBC said their current proposal will remain on the table until 11:59 Monday night. If rejected a new round of negotiations will begin.
