LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Officers arrested an East Texas woman on a laundry list of charges after she attempted to cash a forged check, police say.

Employees of Ace Cash Express on Gilmer Road in Longview contacted Longview Police on Saturday afternoon to inform them that an ID card used to cash a check looked nothing like the woman who presented it.

When officers made contact with the woman, Lisa Davis, 34, of Longview, she stated the owner of the check had purchased a refrigerator from her.

Officers found three stolen checks and several identification cards inside Davis' purse. In her vehicle, Longview Police recovered marijuana, scales, syringes, and 19.2 grams of methamphetamine.

Davis admitted to officers that the drugs in the vehicle were hers.

The passengers inside of Davis' vehicle were also arrested. Officers found Kaylon Crain and Priscilla Calcote to be in possession of marijuana and two baggies of methamphetamine. Authorities say Crain and Calcote also had several crack pipes, needles and a scale at the time of their arrests.

Davis was booked in to the Gregg County Jail on three counts of forgery, possession of marijuana, possession of a drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Crain and Calcote, also booked in to the Gregg County Jail, both face possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Police say the employees if Ace Cash Express called the owner of the check Davis was attempting to pass. The woman stated she did not write a check to Davis, and the check was not cashed.
