Gift of Love: Leslie and Hector

It was an afternoon of fun and games for sister Leslie and brother Hector.

Leslie looks forward to attending the second grade this fall and is very excited about this accomplishment.

Her favorite things about school are,  "playing and coloring and learning," 7-year-old Leslie said.

Leslie enjoys playing outside, coloring and swimming.  This girly girl loves to play dress up and her favorite colors are pink and purple.  She also likes to watch her favorite cartoon.

"Scooby Doo!" Leslie said.

And like most children her age, Leslie loves to eat yummy foods.

"Ice cream, pizza and candy!" Leslie said.

Her favorite candy is suckers.  Leslie is a sweet child who gets along well with her brother Hector.

"I know what my brother would like to play with," Leslie says as she points to the race car video game.

And that's exactly where Hector headed first!

Hector is very bonded and protective of his younger sister.  Even though they are currently not placed together at this time it is important to both of them that they are adopted together. Hector is a sweet and loving child who loves to stay busy.

"Ride bikes and play basketball and play a game called don't let the ball touch you," 9-year-old Hector said.

Hector also enjoys playing video games, swimming, kickball, and any other outdoor activity.  So it's no surprise that hector wants to be a sports star when he grows up.

"Basketball player!" Hector said enthusiastically.

And don't forget movies and action heroes. Hector loves them all!

"Spiderman, Batman, Ironman," Hector said.

He also likes The Hulk and Captain America!

An ideal family for this sibling group would be active and support them their sibling relationship, while at the same time pay attention to their individual needs.  And most importantly, show Leslie and Hector the Gift of Love.
