Career Day In Spring Hill Brings Out A Country Music Star

Some east Texas students got to hear about jobs they may want when they grow up, from people who know firsthand.

They heard from doctors, nurses, a TV anchor, and even a country music star.

Neal McCoy was the keynote speaker at Career Day for Spring Hill intermediate in Longview. He told kids what it took to make it in the music industry and mixed in a few of his hits.

Kids learned what it takes to land the job of the dreams.

"If I read I can learn about the things that I want to be. Learn about people, famous people who are doing it and what their idea of how it's fun, now it's helping the world right now," says 4th grader Blake Bolsteo.

Spring Hill students third and fourth graders also heard from firemen, police officers, and an aerobics instructor today.
