East Texas letter carriers picked-up more than people's mail Saturday.
It was all part of the 12th annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers and the U. S. Postal Service.
Letter carriers collected food donations during their normal routes. The food drive has turned into a pretty big deal. In the Tyler-Longview area alone, over 100,000 lbs. of food were collected last year.
The food collected Saturday in East Texas will benefit the East Texas Food Bank.
The nationwide event helped provide 61.7 million pounds of food last year.
