How good of a driver are you? Well even if you think you're pretty good, you probably don't hold a candle to these guys and gals.
The East Texas Regional Truck Driving Competition was held in Tyler Saturday.
Fifty drivers from all over the area put their skills to the test, twisting and turning their big rigs through obstacle courses. The drivers are judged on accuracy on the course, and scored on written tests.
Chairman of the event Randy Rogers, said the drivers aren't just playing around.
"For all the companies this is a big part of our safety program, it makes the drivers better at what they do, it makes safer drivers."
The winners of today's event qualify for the state competition in June. The event was hosted by the East Texas Council of Trucking Professionals.
