NOONDAY, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas businessman will be auditioning for the nail-biting show, Shark Tank.
On the show, five wealthy investors, like Mark Cuban, consider offers from entrepreneurs who are seeking investors for their business or product.
Before heading to audition for the show, Doug Marshall went through a mock audition with some local business owners who were just as tough as the real sharks on the show.
"I want to thank you for being here and allowing me to present my company and what we've done."
"I'm Doug Marshall from Tyler, Texas; our company is The Gameface Company," says Doug Marshall to local business owners.
Marshall is a local businessman who started The Gameface Company, a company that makes temporary face tattoos for sport fans, hunters, trick-or-treaters, and party-goers.
Marshall says he's a little nervous about going on the show because the investors can be a little ruthless.
"When he goes in front of the 'Shark Tank' he needs to be calm; don't get into an argument with them and stick to his guns. This is his baby and his company and he needs to get what he deserves out of it," says Michael Lujan of Mentoring Minds.
"Here is what I think Doug needs to focus on: he's got lots of ideas and he's a classic entrepreneur. He needs to focus on what his distribution channel is, what his target audience is, and bring some focus to that to drive it home. Otherwise he's going to be chasing lots of dreams for a long time," says David Stuart, also of Mentoring Minds.
Doug says given some of the familiar faces on the panel of investors, he already knows who he wants to target.
"Of course Mark Cuban, because he's sport-related and our product is very sport-related. Daymond who has the apparel, and I think he could brand our company and take it to another level," says Marshall.
Marshall will be auditioning for Shark Tank in California on May 24, 2012.
