Cowboys 2012 schedule to be released tonight

You know why the NFL is great?  The offseason is as big as the actual season.  There have been free agency fireworks and trades.  The draft is less than two weeks away.  In two hours the NFL will release the 2012 regular season schedule.  We know the Cowboys will kickoff the season against the Giants on a Wednesday night.  That's all we know.  It will be fun to break down all the schedules and starting predicting who will win each division.  It's too bad it's only April.  I'm ready for training camp.

In two hours John Tyler head football coach Dereck Rush will be recommended by Conroe ISD to be the new head football coach at Oak Ridge High School.  For the complete story click here.  Tyler ISD athletic director Rod Kaspar told me this afternoon that Rush will be available for interviews Wednesday morning.  Many have wondered why Rush would leave a talented Lions team for school coming off a one win season.  Rush can tell us tomorrow morning.

TJC women's basketball sent four players to division one colleges today.  That's pretty impressive.  Markisha Hawkins is headed to the Big 12 to play for the Kansas Jayhawks.  You can hear from Hawkins and her teammates on KLTV News at ten.

Have a great afternoon,

Ryan Peterson
