Tyler, Texas (KLTV) - It was a record setting night at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
The 8th annual Azalea Orthopedic All-Star game featured the highest scoring game ever and the highest individual scoring game ever.
In the girls game, the West squad, led by 22 points from Texas Tech signee Minta Spears, beat the East 93-59 in the highest scoring total in the all-star game history.
Tyler Lee star Bre Brooks scored 33 for the East, giving the future North Texas hoopster the highest scoring individual game ever.
The boys was much the same, led by 26 points from Lindale's Jordan VanDeKop, the West beat the East 83-69.
Longviews JaQuan Jackson led the East with 13 points.
With the smallest enrollment in District 17-5A, and really across the entire classification, Lindale could use that as an excuse for a sub-par season. But under defensive coordinator, turned head coach Chris Cochran, that won't be the case.More >>
