Could mom's obesity lead to her baby's autism?

We hope you're having a wonderful Monday.

Here's some of what we're working on for you today in the KLTV newsroom:

There is a new study that may shed some light on the mystery of the cause of autism in children. The study shows that there may be a link between a pregnant woman's weight and whether or not her baby develops autism. We'll have that for you tonight at 5, and we'll bring Dr. Ed Dominguez in on the discussion, as well.

There's still no word on whether George Zimmerman will be charged in the death of Trayvon Martin. But if he is, the charge won't be first-degree murder. The Florida special prosecutor who's deciding whether to file charges announced today that she's not going to take the case to a grand jury. KLTV's Michael Thompson has the latest on that for you at 5.

East Texas parents and members of the community are waiting to hear what Tyler ISD officials have to say about a proposed plan to expand the field at Rose Stadium. The expansion would eliminate two relay lanes and displace the annual Earl Campbell Emma Barrett relays.  Our Samantha Jordan will join us live during the 5 from outside the meeting.

At 6 you'll hear the latest about Kerry Max Cook; today a judge granted his request for more DNA testing that he claims will clear his name in a 35-year old rape and murder. Melanie Torre will join us live from the Smith County Courthouse with the latest.

Also, sheriff's deputies arrest a man who was reportedly selling k-2 just feet from an East Texas school. The owner of a Wood County food mart is charged with possession of miscellaneous substance in a school zone. More on that is  coming up!

Also, Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto (and a guest at 5!) will have the latest on our weather for the upcoming week. Make sure you check in with him at 5 and 6 for your most accurate forecast from the StormTracker7 weather center.

We'll see you soon!
