The Texas unemployment rate has fallen for a sixth consecutive month.
The unemployment rate for the state for the month of February fell to 7.1 percent. That's a full point lower than it was a year ago.
In Longview, the unemployment rate is even lower at 6.1 percent.
And in Tyler, it's actually a tenth of a point higher than the state average, at 7.2 percent.
The national unemployment rate has been falling fast as well, with a current standing of 8.3 percent.
