Bank robbers face multiple charges; ETX police waiting to charge

Arrest warrants are officially out for a suspected mother/daughter bank robbing team, who may have struck in East Texas.

Authorities believe the two women first held up a bank in Kinder, Louisiana last month, then moved on to The Citizens National Bank in Henderson.

After that, banks in Louisiana and Mississippi were robbed.

Lieutenant Craig Sweeney with the Henderson Police Department says signs show all the bank robberies are connected.

"The manner in which they're disguised, their hair, masks, also the weapon display," said Sweeney, "Similar looking jeans, footwear, and of course, you have the masks and the sunglasses, and the wig that was worn."

Evie Mearlene Herrin, 57, and her 30-year-old daughter Amelia Darci Crew, are accused of all four bank robberies, including the one in Henderson.

Lieutenant Sweeney is waiting for an official confirmation from the FBI before charges are pressed against the duo for the Henderson robbery.

The women are held on arrest warrants from the Louisiana and Mississippi robberies.

Evie was taken to the hospital after being arrested. It's still unknown why she was transported to the hospital directly from the crime scene.

As of Thursday evening, Evie was still hospitalized.
