Azalea Trail Kick-Off

Tyler kicked off the 45th Annual Azalea and Spring Flower Trail this morning. Young ladies in period costume and proud homeowners attended the ribbon cutting.

What started with a few homeowners showcasing their azaleas, has now blossomed into an 8 mile driving trail that attracts more than 100-thousand visitors each year. Those visitors, from all over the country, spend about 3-million dollars here each year during the 3 week festival.

Mark Scirto was present this morning to hand out awards to homeowners, chosen for their outstanding flower displays.

The President's Award went to Joan and Guy Pyron at 212 W. Dobbs.
