Arrest Made In Upshur County Murder

Police have made an arrest in connection with 2 bodies found in an East Texas pond last week. Last Wednesday the bodies were discovered floating in the pond northwest of Gilmer on Highway 155. One victim is identified as 45 year old Keith Crutcher of Ore City.

We now know that both victims were shot, and their bodies were weighed down. 36 year old, William Bulington of Longview has been arrested and charged with Crutcher's murder.

"Currently we're charging him with Keith Crutchers because we don't really like doing a John Doe indictment until we get the other body identified, it would have to be a John Coe indictment" says Upshur County Assistant District Attorney, Tim Cariker.

Police are still trying to identify the other male found at the scene, but there is new information just released that may help. He's a black male, 5'6" tall and weighing 142 pounds. He has possibly been missing since the middle of December. He may have a first name of Dave or David and had possibly been released from jail recently.

If you have any information regarding the identity of this subject, please call the Upshur County Sheriff's office. Bob Hallmark reporting.
