DPS offering $10K reward for Mexican Mafia member

AUSTIN, TX (KLTV) - A fugitive last seen in Goliad has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list, and a $10,000 reward is now being offered for tips leading to his arrest. All tips can be offered anonymously.

Anthony Gonzales, 38, is a native of Corpus Christi with a violent criminal past and pending warrants for Murder, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Aggravated Assault. On July 25, 2008, Gonzales and nine gang associates were involved in a shooting at a residence in Corpus Christi resulting in the death of one adult and the injury of two children. All of the suspects have been captured except for Gonzales.

His aliases include "Ghost" and his past employment includes upholstery work. He has multiple tattoos, including "Lil Laura" on his left finger and multiple tattoos across the base of his neck and upper chest. For more information on Gonzales, visit the Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives slideshow. 

Texas Crime Stoppers, through the Governor's Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in three different ways:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

All calls, texts or e-mails are anonymous, and tipsters will be given a tip number. You do not have to give your name.

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives yourself; they are considered armed and dangerous.
