Gas prices are up for seventh straight day

For the seventh day in a row, gas prices are up. The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.83. That's up a penny from Thursday, and up almost 17 percent so far this year.

"It's ridiculous, I put 80 dollars in it since yesterday afternoon," says Johnny Hill who travels on the road everyday for his job, "I have to be pretty particular about where I go. I've turned down work because of it."

Cristi Burris says she has the common answer to the problem, she hears about it everyday at her used car lot in Mineola, "We've had a lot of people coming in and trying to trade in bigger cars and trucks trying to get smaller four door automatics and sticks trying to get better gas mileage because it's getting just a little crazy."

But in the end, most of us still have to dish out the money says Christy Ross, "It hurts the pocket book, but you have to do what you have to do."
