03/11/04 Fishing Report

Barry says it should be good soon!!!

WHEN IT COMES TO SPRING AND FISHING ALL OF US ANGLERS IN GENERAL SEEM TO WANT TO RUSH IT A LITTLE, MAINLY BECAUSE THE FISHING IMPROVES AND THIS WEEKEND IS NO EXCEPTION, WE WERE ALL HOPING FOR GOOD WEATHER WITH THE WATER WARMING UP AND BETTER FISHING, BUT SO FAR IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN, STORMS AND WIND IF THE FORECAST HOLDS, SO BE AWARE IF YOU GO. JUST A NOTE, THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT HAS SCHEDULED 19 PUBLIC HEARINGS AROUND TEXAS THIS MONTH, THERE ARE SEVERAL ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED ABOUT HUNTING AND FISHING, ONE IS THE UPCOMING INCREASE IN PRICE FOR LICENSE FEES. FISHING LICENSE WILL BE AT LEAST $5 MORE, THAT MONEY WILL GO TO BUILD A NEW FISH HATCHERY AND IS A DONE DEAL. THERE ARE SOME GOOD CHANGES INVOLVED TOO. YOU CAN CHECK THE NEAREST LOCATION AND DATE BY LOGGING ON TO THEIR WEB SITE,  WWW.TPWD.STATE.TX.US, SO GO CHECK THEM OUT, ATTEND AND SPEAK UP, OR DON'T COMPLAIN LATER SEEMS TO BE THE DEAL. OK LETS LOOK AT SOME LAKES, KEEP IN MIND MANY REPORTS WRITTEN BEFORE THE WEATHER CHANGE,
