NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office arrested four people Sunday night, in what was reported to be a drive-by shooting.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said two more arrests were made a day later.

Miguel Barrueta-Colin, 19, Eduardo Colin, 17, Jonathan Diaz, 17, Noah Morua Juarez, 20, Abraham Morua Juarez, 18, have been charged with engaging in organized crime, a first-degree felony.

According to the report, the Sheriff's Office received a call of a drive-by shooting. Witnesses told deputies that a vehicle, believed to have occupied the offenders, fled the scene. The vehicle was matched to a traffic stop a little while later on CR 2863 and the loop.

A deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, when a passenger on the driver's side began to flee on foot, said Thomas Kerss.

The deputy observed that a broom had been impaled on the driver side door and windows had been knocked out, said Kerss.

Kerss also said that another street gang, the Latin Kings, had reported that they were at a club in Nacogdoches County and had an altercation with another alleged street gang.

The gang who reported the activity then went to a residence on CR 521 to confront the other group of people who, Kerss said, " they had problems with."

Kerss says that's when about 5 members of the group accosted the Kings with aluminum baseball bats.

Neighbors also reportedly heard gunshots.

As of Monday night, all individuals are being held on bond.
