Rebecca O. Jones, M.D.


Dr. Jones joined DeHaven Eye Clinic to help it become the premier ophthalmic institute in East Texas. With years of experience as an ophthalmic surgeon with an emphasis on diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Jones has helped many patients regain their vision and return to an active life.

Dr. Rebecca Jones has served the patients of East Texas at DeHaven Eye Clinic since 1995. She is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in medical treatment of retinal disease. She has extensive surgical experience including cataract surgery, intraocular lens implantations, laser vision correction, and glaucoma laser surgery.

Dr. Jones is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. Completing her internship at Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, she also fulfilled her ophthalmology residency at Birmingham’s Eye Foundation Hospital. Dr. Jones completed a fellowship in medical retina, emphasizing laser treatment of diabetic retinopathy and retinal disease.

Dr. Jones is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Texas Ophthalmological Association, American Society of Retina Specialists, Texas Medical Association, and Smith County Medical Society (SCMS). She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the SCMS.

She is affiliated with the medical staff of Trinity Mother Frances Health System and

East Texas Medical Center.
