MCCURTAIN COUNTY, OK (KSLA) - The search for six-year-old Dalton Lycklama of McCurtain, County Oklahoma continues near the McCurtain County river where the boy went missing Sunday.

Monday night, search and rescue crews, along with family members postponed the search for the six-year-old around 7:30 p.m.

Steve Lycklama and his two sons, eight-year-old Devin and six-year-old Dalton, were on the river Sunday when the boat is believed to have capsized.

The body of Dalton's older brother, Devin, was found Monday afternoon. The body of the boys' father, Steve, was found with the family's boat Sunday afternoon. The boys' grandfather told KSLA News 12 it's a difficult time and has been a stressful couple of days.

Oklahoma State Police say fishermen spotted a boat partially underwater. When they pulled it to shore, they found Steve Lycklama's body underneath, his leg entangled in a chain.

Family members identified his body, and told police the children had been with him. That set off a search for the boys.

Police say they believe the boat was caught in a strong current and was pulled over a small waterfall. Officials say this is not the first time this section of the Little River has taken a life.

They say neither of the bodies were found wearing life jackets.

"They could have been saved if they had known a waterfall was there," says family friend Everett Hurley. "They can put a sign, they can put a cable up there, saying 'waterfall, careful, strong current,' but they didn't. There is no signs up there."
