Redskins reportedly target RG3

With the NFL Combine wrapping up in Indianapolis, draft rumors have already started.  Several reports say the Redskins are the leading candidate to trade up to the Rams No. 2 spot.  The Redskins would then select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.  Mike Jones of the Washington Post believes the Redskins would give up two first round picks and multiple mid round picks.  That's a lot to give up, but they do need a quarterback.  It would be fun to watch RG3 play the Cowboys twice a year.

I'm more excited about free agency, which begins in two weeks.  ESPN is reporting that the Cowboys have two targets at cornerback.  The team would like to snatch Brandon Carr from the Chiefs, and Cortland Finnegan from the Titans.  The Cowboys are expected to released Terence Newman.  Carr and Finnegan would be younger and upgrades in the Cowboys secondary.

A Texas high school basketball team qualified for state, but won't be able to play due to the Sabath.  Click here for more.

The UIL boys basketball playoffs continue to tonight.  Here's a list of the big games featuring East Texas teams.

Spring Hill vs Lindale
Athens vs Fairfield
Tatum vs Edgewood
White Oak vs Kountze
Troup vs Woden

We'll have scores and highlights tonight at ten.

Have a great day,

Ryan Peterson

Since winning 12 games in 2013, head coach Adam Cook and company have racked up a total of 13 victories the past three seasons.
