Loya had been playing a dangerous game, allegedly threatening his female companion with a gun.

Loya fled from the Laquinta but was caught a short distance away in the parking lot area of the Wal-mart Supercenter. He still had the weapon on him and more.

"We did find a firearm on him, and we did find several types of narcotics on him," adds Scott.

Police say Loya had ecstasy pills, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
