Terrell Owens scores 3 TD's in IFL Debut

ALLEN, TEXAS - In front of a whopping crowd just north of 5,000, Terrell Owens made his debut in the Indoor Football League.

Owens caught all of three passes but all three were for touchdowns as the Allen Wranglers beat the Wichita Wild 50-30 on Saturday night.

Owens is under contract to only play in home games for Allen, part of his deal with the team, as well as being part-owner as well.

"I'm starting to get a feel for the nuances of indoor football," Owens told the media afterwards, "Obviously we are in a condensed field. For myself, it's challenging because there are tight windows. Routes are a lot faster, the timing of the routes are faster."

Owens has been out of football since 2011 and suffered a knee injury in the offseason.

He has repeatedly stated that he would like to re-join a team in the NFL.

"For myself, I'm really just trying to keep myself in shape for the most part," Owens said. "Obviously, with the days of back-to-back practicing, that's obviously helping me allow my leg to get stronger. I feel like I'm healthy enough to play football. As you can see, there's not anything that I can't do."

Owens has 1,078 career catches, 15,934 yards and 156 touchdowns during his NFL career.
