Opening for Alan Jackson: Family from ETX

A proud East Texas grandmother is heading over to the Alan Jackson concert tonight because her grandson is opening the show for Jackson!

At just 21-yrs. old, Hudson Moore is sharing the same stage tonight with Alan Jackson.

"It's always been a dream of mine to play music and just to be able to do it on this level is just a dream come true," says Moore.

Hudson is excited to be back to East Texas,"My grandparents are from here and my dad was born and raised here so, it's cool to be able to play in Tyler."

His family was blown away with excitement to hear the good news.

"I just had this wonderful warm feeling because I've always known that he has talent, and he works so hard I just knew he would excel," says his grandmother, Peggy Moore.

At a young age, Moore began experimenting with the drums and guitar, then he started singing.

"It's got a little rock and roll edge, it's got a little blues, pop, soul, it's just a fusion of just lots of different styles," says Hudson.

"He's just always thinking music, practicing music, playing music, performing music, music is his life," says Peggy.

With his new album, fireworks, and the experience to open for Alan Jackson, Hudson sees the stars in his future.

"To have that big of an impact on people through our music would be a dream come true," says Hudson.

The concert tonight starts at 7:30 at the Oil Palace.
