Bone marrow drive in honor of ETX doctor today

Coming up on Good Morning East Texas...

Over the last three months, we've been bringing you the story of Cody Chandler, a Tyler doctor diagnosed with Leukemia just after Thanksgiving. Good Morning East Texas' Lauren Callahan will be live in the studio to tell us more about a bone marrow drive hosted in his honor today. Click here to find out how you can help if you can't make it to the drive today.

Plus, authorities in Dayton, Texas are investigating a case where they say children were tied to a bed in a home and eleven children were removed from the home in late January. We will have the latest in this ongoing investigation.

Storm Tracker 7 Meteorologist Grant Dade says...

Spring will be visiting East Texas the next two days.  Today we will see a few clouds at times mixed with sunshine.  Highs will reach the middle to upper 70s this afternoon.  Tonight will be another mild evening with low temperatures only dropping into the middle 50s.  For our Thursday a dryline will move through the area early followed by a cold front late in the day.  There could be a stray thundershower along the dryline early but right now it looks as though most of the thunderstorms should develop off to our east.  Behind the dryline and ahead of the cold front we will see strong westerly winds with lots of sunshine.  This will allow our temperatures to soar into the lower to middle 80s, yes 80s, tomorrow afternoon.  The record highs for East Texas seem safe right now as they range between 87 and 90 for the 23rd of February.  Your weekend forecast is coming up on Good morning East Texas.
