Speeding East Texan arrested for child endangerment

An East Texan is now facing child endangerment charges.

DPS says a trooper pulled over Jason Pence last night in Gregg County for going 75 miles per hour in a 55 mile an hour zone.

The trooper says that during the stop Pence took off with his 11- and 4- year old children in the car with him.

Pence was arrested after turning into a driveway.

The trooper says another passenger in the car had an open beer can.

Pence is charged with child endangerment and evading arrest.
