After months of waiting, the Arellano family finally set foot into their new home.
Mom Elizabeth Arellano tells us that she is most excited about her new kitchen.
"I have a very nice stove. It's a gas stove. It's very important for me. I've been using an electric stove for a long time," Arellano said.
This home was custom built to reflect the Arellano's taste.
"The pick out all the light fixtures. There's a budget set aside for when we're working on these homes," said Jack Wilson with Habitat for Humanity.
College student Elizabeth Arellano is excited to have her own room. And, she plans to decorate.
"I like the color blue. So, I was thinking I want to put some blue paintings on the wall," she told us.
But most of all, she is thankful that she and her family can start a new life here.
"We're going to get to make new memories here and so I'm real happy about that," she said.
The Arellano's applied for the Habitat for Humanity program last fall. They even did some of the physical labor themselves.
