Tyler's Engineering and Street Departments have taken a close look at city streets that need some attention. The city uses a pavement management system called a MicroPaver to determine the streets' pavement condition index (PCI). City officials tell us a PCI is a numerical index between 0 and 100 and is used to indicate the condition of a pavement. The higher the PCI number, the better condition of the street. The city is hoping to work on streets with a PCI of 55 and below.

City officials tell us this project should begin in May or June.  The Half Cent Sales Tax Program has allotted $2 million for what they are calling the city's asphalt enhancement program.

Below is a list of proposed streets that need improvement. This list may change however, depending on unit prices.
