Texas East Gymnastics ranked among the nations best

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

A national gymnastics website has ranked Texas East Gymnastics as the sixth most successful gymnastics facility in the country.  Meetscoresonline.com judged over ten thousand facilities with over 75,000 scores from the past gymnastics season.  The top of the list is loaded with big city facilities.  Texas East Gymnastics, located in Tyler, proved that the little guy can be just as strong.

"We were by far the smallest city that has a gymnastics club on the list," said coach Martine Parsley.  "That was really interesting.  They even commented in the blurb that even though we're from a small place and don't have a lot of athletes that the ones we have are quality and do a great job. Everyone put their part in to getting us there. The athletes that were performing as well as the coaches and support staff. Everyone was excited to be on that list."

The rankings looked at many variables that included history of top finishes as well as the trickle down effect of the upper level's success.
