Crews were out in force to help Tyler keep looking beautiful.
The Code Enforcement Association of Texas and the City of Tyler teamed up for 'Clean the Creek' and cleaned about a half-mile section next to West Mud Creek, east of Donnybrook.
About 35 volunteers, many who were here visiting from different areas of Texas, picked up items they say had no place in a creek.
"We're pulling out Styrofoam cups, plastic bags we're pulling out anything that doesn't belong in this beautiful trail that they have here in Tyler. We have a passion for keeping our neighborhoods nice we have a passion for keeping them clean. That's why we're out here making sure this trail looks nice, aesthetically pleasing to those who use it," said Kelvin Beene, Code Enforcement Association of Texas.
The Code Enforcement Association of Texas said they hosted this clean up as a thank you, for the City of Tyler hosting their conference this week.
