UPDATE 5:50 AM: Officials in Rusk and Cherokee Counties tell us the phone systems, including the 9-1-1 system are back up and running this morning.
Two East Texas counties are experiencing problems with their 9-1-1 system.
RUSK COUNTY -
The Rusk County Office of Emergency Management is reporting that 911 services are down throughout the county.
To report an emergency in Henderson dial 903-657-3512.
To report an emergency in Rusk County, dial 903-657-3581.
CHEROKEE COUNTY -
Cherokee County has also reported problems with their 9-1-1 system. Officials there said if 9-1-1 does not connect, call the sheriff's office at 903-683-2271 or 903-810-1911.
