State Department orders release of wanted Mexican fugitive

Good Afternoon!

After a two-year-old girl died Sunday morning, investigators decided to interview the boyfriend of the child's mother. Problem is, the man fled to Mexico. At 5, we'll have the latest details on the case.

A motorcycle crash and dwindling funds are making it difficult for an East Texas couple to follow their dream-- feeding the hungry! At 5, Ian Smith talks with the couple that established the Henderson Food Bank and discusses what it would take to keep the doors to the food bank open.

Then at 6, Bob Hallmark looks behind the scenes of an alleged dog-training operation in East Texas, to show the dangerous conditions and cruel treatment of the animals.

Congressman Louie Gohmert is questioning why the State Department released a fugitive wanted in both Mexico and Smith County. Jena Johnson has the details and explains what's next for this case. That story is coming up at 6.
