Pinson released from hospital

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The John Tyler boys basketball team was without head coach Tony Pinson for Tuesday nights district championship game against Jacksonville.  John Tyler assistant coach Cedeno Clark told KLTV that coach Pinson was out of the hospital resting at home.  Clarks says he's now the acting boys basketball head coach at John Tyler.  Clark coached the Lions to a win over Jacksonville 34 to 30, to clinch a share of the 14-4A title.

When asked if Pinson could miss the playoffs, Clark said, "We're only concerned about coach Pinson's health."

Pinson led John Tyler to a 25 game district winning streak the last two years including the 2011 14-4A championship.
