UPDATE: Lindale girls basketball coach

LINDALE, TEXAS (KLTV) - Parents and players protested the suspension of Lindale girls head coach Greg Strawn tonight during a school board meeting.

Lindale ISD superintendent Stan Surratt says Strawn was supspended for in game behavior.

The meeting was dismissed after about 25 minutes, with no action taken, as Strawn was not on the board meeting agenda.

If action is to be taken, it would required a special board meeting, which would also require a minimum 72 hours notice.

The Lady Eagles finished the final 4 games without Stawn and will enter the playoffs on Friday after receiving a first round bye.

With the smallest enrollment in District 17-5A, and really across the entire classification, Lindale could use that as an excuse for a sub-par season. But under defensive coordinator, turned head coach Chris Cochran, that won't be the case.
