Sports Headlines 2/9/12

If anyone ever tells you Texas high school football is weak, just throw these numbers at them.  Numbers were released today showing Texas had 371 Division I college football signings.  That is the most of any state.  At least one Texas recruit signed in 30 out of 50 states.  Many of those Division I signings came from East Texas.

Terrell Owens is actually going to play football for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.  Owens was introduced at a press conference last night by Wranglers GM and former Cowboys great Drew Pearson.  Owens will also be a 50 percent owner of the franchise.  The 38 year old says playing in the league will keep him in shape.  Owens says his NFL career is far from finished.  It's kind of sad.  Owens says he's lost around $80 million because of bad investments.  You can hear what TO had to say tonight on KLTV News at Ten.

The Rangers continue to lock up key members of their championship roster.  Wednesday was Elvis, today it's Nelson Cruz.  Click here for more.

Have a good afternoon,

Ryan Peterson
