Could Longview High School Go To School Uniforms?

Students at Longview high school may soon be saying "good-bye" to those designer clothes and "hello" to school uniforms. The idea is being discussed by parents.

The principal says the school isn't officially considering the uniforms right now but say they will take the parent's opinions into consideration.

We spoke with students and parents about the possibility.

"I wouldn't like it too much cause I'm not big on uniforms and I like to wear what I like to wear," says student Taylor Gregg.

Parent Sheila Woods says, "some kids can't wear expensive clothes so it'd be best and there'd probably be less fights at the school so I'm for uniforms."

"I really don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. I don't care one way or the other. So it's not a big deal to me," says student Erick Rowell.

Every parent of high school students will soon get a chance to voice their opinions. A meeting on the subject of school uniforms is scheduled for March 23rd in the high school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
