OF WATER IN A LAKE NORTH OF GILMER, AND THOUGHT I REALLY HAD A BIG FISH...BECAUSE AS YOU SEE IT PUT UP QUITE A FIGHT THEN I RECEIVED THESE PICTURES FROM DON HAMPTON OF LAKE FORK NEWS YOU CAN USE, TWO NEW BUDWEISER SHARELUNKER FISH CAUGHT LAST WEEKEND ON FORK, THE 2ND SHARELUNKER FISH OF THE SEASON ON LAKE FORK, CAUGHT ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 20TH BY LARRY CRAWLEY SR. OF FORSYTH, MISSOURI AT 13.11LBS. THEN THE 3RD SHARELUNKER OF THE YEAR CAUGHT SATURDAY FEBRUARY 21 ON FORK BY ALVIN SONNY HELMS OF WILLS POINT, TEXAS AT 13.02LBS. HOW ABOUT THESE EAST TEXAS LUNKER BASS, I HOPE YOU HAVE THE SAME LUCK, LETS LOOK AT THE LAKES...

LAKE TYLER

OFF COLOR WATER AT 54 DEG. WITH BLACK BASS FAIR ON WHITE FRANK JOHNSON SPINNERBAITS, WATERMELON SEED BRUSH HOGS, AND BLACK/BLUE JIGS. CRAPPIE ARE FAIR ON MINNOWS OVER BRUSH PILES. CATFISH FAIR ON PREPARED BAITS AND CHICKEN LIVER.

LAKE O' THE PINES

STAINED AT 58 DEG. HIGH WATER WITH BLACK BASS SLOW ON CHARTREUSE SPINNERBAITS AND BLACK NEON JIG-N-PIGS. CRAPPIE GOOD ON MINNOWS AND JIGS ALONG THE OLD CREEK CHANNEL IN 25 TO 30FT. CATFISH SLOW ON CANADIAN NIGHTCRAWLERS.

LAKE FORK

FAIRLY CLEAR AT 58 DEG WITH BLACK BASS SLOW TO FAIR ON RED FRANK JOHNSON SPINNERBAITS, FLUKES, WAVE TIKI STICKS AND JIGS. CRAPPIE FAIR ON MINNOWS AND JIGS. CATFISH FAIR ON NIGHTCRAWLERS.

LAKE PLESTINE

FAIRLY CLEAR WATER AT 54 DEG. WITH BLACK BASS FAIR ON SPINNERBAITS AND CAROLINA RIGS AROUND BOAT DOCKS AND SUBMERGED STRUCTURE. CRAPPIE FAIR ON MINNOWS AND JIGS. CATFISH FAIR ON CUT BAIT AND NIGHTCRAWLERS. HYBRID STRIPER AND WHITE BASS FAIR ON SLABS AND SHAD, LIMITED SCHOOLING ACTION.

LAKE MONTICELLO

A HOT WATER LAKE IS LIGHTLY STAINED AT 76 DEG. WITH BLACK BASS FAIR TO GOOD ON LIZARDS FLUKES, AND WAVE TIKI STICKS WITH SOME TOP WATER ACTION. CRAPPIE FAIR TO GOOD ON MINNOWS AND JIGS.
