Pajama Jeans: Does it Work?

Posted: Updated:

They boast the style of jeans with the comfort of pajamas.

You've seen Pajama Jeans advertised on TV, but are you really brave enough to shell out the money and then go out in public hoping no one notices you're in your PJs?  That's what we thought! This week we put the Pajama Jeans to the "Does it Work?" test.

They're the pajamas you live in. The jeans you sleep in. Pajama jeans are supposed to be pajama-soft on the inside and European styled with stitching and brass rivets on the outside.

Ellen tested them for us.  Ellen usually wears a small size, but the medium Pajama Jeans (supposed to be for size 10-12) fit just fine.  Keep that in mind.

She was impressed with he smooth, comfy underside of the fabric and says the outside really looked like jean material.  Stretchy and soft with contrasting stitching and brass rivets, she says they really looked like jeans.

We took Ellen around to talk with co-workers and no one seemed to notice she was wearing pajamas.  When we told them, they were surprised.  Same story when she took a stroll outside on a busy city block.

And how did they perform as pajamas.  Ellen stretched out on a sofa.

"Oh, they're great. I think I could totally take a nap right now," she says.  The rivets did not bother her at all.

About the only objection Ellen came up with was the ickyness of the idea of getting in bed wearing something you've worn in public all day.

"Does it Work?"  We give the Pajama Jeans a yes!

We got the Pajama Jeans at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They cost around 40 dollars a pair and come in many sizes.
