Texas redistricting proposal rejected...again

Tonight, a temporary Texas redistricting proposal was rejected by a federal judge...for the second time.

This comes just hours after State Attorney General Gregg Abbott said an agreement on the proposed changes to Texas Districts had been reached.

Before tonight's decision, the judge said the proposed changes did not have enough support to pass.

If no agreement can be reached by tonight, the April 3rd Texas primary may be delayed.

State Senator Kevin Eltife tells us the issue is over the congressional maps and the Texas senate, Texas house maps.

"It's absolutely ridiculous at this point; we don't know when the primary election is going to be. It's very confusing to the voters in the state of Texas and all we're doing is going court to court arguing over the maps and it's really sad for our voters," said Eltife.

He said the decision hurts Texas in terms of playing a role in selecting the republican presidential candidate.
