LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Law enforcement officers have managed to track down a Lufkin man thought to have fled to Mexico and who is charged with injuring a three-year-old boy in 2009.
According to Lufkin Police spokesman J.B. Smith, the investigation began in October 2009 in connection to a large handprint bruise on the face of a three-year-old boy. The suspect, Adrian Zambrano, 25, was found to have cause the injury and police obtained a warrant for his arrest, Smith said.
Zambrano was not located at the time and the lead investigator noted in the report that he is not a legal U.S. resident and he had probably fled to Mexico.
