TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The owner of a Tyler Conoco is recovering after being punched in the face during a robbery.

According to Tyler police, four suspects entered the Conoco on W. Gentry Pkwy at Van Highway around 11:30 am, Friday and an altercation with the store clerk ensued.

Shawn, the owner of Conoco told us he was working behind the counter when the suspects entered the store. He explained that two of those suspects came behind the counter and when he asked them to leave they punched him in the face.

Shawn said the suspects then grabbed several packs of cigarettes and then took off on foot.

Tyler Police officers responded to the scene and found the suspects running through a nearby neighborhood. Police were able to apprehend all four of them.

All four suspects have been charged with robbery. The suspects are identified as follows:

  • Steven Ray Sadler, 17, of Tyler - Bond set at $505,000
  • Michael Avory Hayles, 17, of Tyler - Bond set at $250,000
  • Prince Kentrell Hull, 18, of Tyler - Bond set at $250,000
  • Jamon Nicholas Taylor, 17, of Tyler - Bond set at $250,000

Sadler was also charged with evading police.

Investigators say they believe more suspects may have been involved and may file other charges upon completion of the investigation.
