LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A sting operation caught a suspected child predator, and there's a strange twist that surprised even police.

The rather odd arrest photo of 39-year-old Sergio Galacia Orozco was taken after his arrest on charges of indecency with a child and online solicitation.

Kristie Brian with the Longview Police Department says, "The suspect approached a male and had some contact with that subject... apparently they exchanged numbers and maybe a name."

The victim was walking along a stretch of Lazy Lane Sunday night when he was approached by Orozco, but he didn't know he was a man. Orozco, was dressed like a woman.

"At the time, the victim didn't know it was not a woman," Kristie says, "That is very unusual. Don't have crimes where the suspect is dressed like a woman."

The 15-year-old victim told police Orozco touched his stomach and then reached down his shorts.

Orozco reportedly gave the boy his phone number and said his name was "La Chica" and that's when cyber crimes got involved.

"The victim came to the mom and told the mom what happened. Mom called the police," Brian said.

Cyber-crimes sent Orozco a text message, posing as the boy, wanting to meet.

Orozco took the bait, and agreed to a meeting in the 2,600 block of Bill Owens Parkway, but he got more than he bargained for--Police were waiting for Orozco, who offered no resistance.

Orozco remains jailed on bonds totaling $40,000, charged with indecency with a child and online solicitation of a minor.

In addition to the charges, Orozco has also been placed on an immigration detainer.
